Mar 2010: England’s series against Bangladesh produced a net gain for both teams of 0.000. To be precise Bangladesh gained 0.00025 points...
Jan/Feb: England gain 3 points v South Africa and secure 4th place. During Jan and Feb India lose points in 2 successive series and Australia’s lead stretches to almost 4.
Over New Year: Australia have chance to regain lead but lose 3.14 points v West Indies, but then immediately play Pakistan and the gain of 4.14 enables Australia to regain their lead. India’s reign lasted 3 series!
December: BIG NEWS... India gain 3.9 points against Sri Lanka. This not only pushes England back up to 4th. It puts India in top place. India become the fifth country to top the table. Australia’s run at the top of 152 series comes to an end. The reign began in April 2001 and is now over... But not for long...
August: England gain 5 points v Australia and go just above Sri Lanka into 4th. Australia have now lost 40 points in last 20 months but remain in first place. But then Sri Lanka reclaim 4th by beating New Zealand
July: Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the big movers. Sri Lanka gain 4 points v Pakistan and move 5 points ahead of England. Bangladesh gain 5 points v West Indies and are now only 8 points behind 8th place.
May: England’s whitewash of West Indies gives them 5 points and allows them to reclaim 5th place
Mar: The bubble bursts for South Africa and they lose 4 points and 2nd place to India. Pakistan gain 5 points against Sri Lanka, and gaining 5th place above England
Jan: South Africa beat Australia and the gap closes - only 4 points the difference and the return series is about to happen...
Dec: Well India ‘only’ managed to hold their own against England, but this was almost enough to go above Australia. However it would not been enough to take the lead as South Africa would have been top if Australia had not won the final test!
Bangladesh gain a point against South Africa and jump to 9th place!
Oct/Nov: India are the big movers gaining a massive 17.82 points against Australia making it the 5th best series ever and the best series gain for over 31 years. It was India’s best series surpassing the gain of 14.11 they gained also home against Australia in 2004
Aug 08: Sri Lanka gain 6.4 points against India and swap places in the table. India started the series with high hopes of 2nd, yet finished in 4th
Aug 08: England fail to make ground on the top 4, in fact they lose almost 2 points against South Africa
Jun 08: West Indies gain 3.65 points against Australia and go up to to 7th in the table, their highest position since Aug 2000.

We will be adding various other tables showing different records. With India’s convincing series against Australia we decided to investigate the Biggest Series wins in terms of points gained. Australia’s whitewash of England comes in as the 10th best series ever
In looking at each countries stats - it was also time to create a table of the highest and lowest scores achieved by each country - especially as India were currently on their highest ever score and West Indies and Zimbabwe were on their lowest ever scores! (In Sep 2005 - Zimbabwe gained 0.08 points just moving them off from their lowest ever score. But West Indies are within a whisker of creating a new all-time low!)
