Australia are clearly the overall Champions. They have been champions for longest time and more frequently than any other country. They also hold the highest ever score, a record held since Nov 1959, although the West Indies got close in 1986 mid way through their record breaking longest reign. No one looked like getting close to matching the sustained dominance of the West Indies during the 1980’s and early 90’s. However Australia’s run at the top surpassed their own reign of 56 series in the late 1990’s, and is now the longest ever.... They hold all the records.... India became the fifth team to top the table... The last new table topper was South Africa in 1970... Will England maintain their reign at the top?
(Note: all figures in these tables are 'standardised' - the total score for the countries is always rounded up to 500 - so that an accurate comparison can be gained over the years. See FAQ for explanation)
